i am in a completely different industry. but during my time, entering big4 from the local 3 universities from biz/acc courses is considered prestigious. i have a friend in the same age group (slightly younger) who started off from big4 as well, but she had good bosses and job hopped numerous times, hitting a 5 figure monthly income before reaching 30. very talented and selective in her career choices.
in any workplace or sector, if offers aren't good enough, good talent can't be retained or attracted. can only rely on the remaining less able people who apply and stay. the bar for selection gets lowered over time.

OT is like the norm in big 4. People expect you to OT everyday and OT until 2/3am during peak. Big 4 managers are mostly siaolang workaholics with no life outside of work. Got one manager even told me last time associates and senior had to wait for manager to leave office before they can leave. omg what a stupid culture.
Commercial is different. pay is lower but OT is like a few days every month only. People hardly contact you after work. You message boss after work he also don't reply. if boss die die need to message you during weekend will apologise first. Boss doesn't care if you leave on the dot or 20mins earlier.

Hey where are my malaysian JHKs at?
Own up pls, keep OTing and stop complaining. May your Gen Z singaporean A1 give u a hard time.
anyway don't forget to
1) Pay your rent on time because u are helping me pay for my million dollar condo while I rest in my HDB and travel overseas holiday
2) Pay your tax on time so that my economy and country can grow. SGD to the moon.
3) Be thankful we let you in, first class transportation, first class education, first class cleanliness, first class healthcare. It's better than being in your corrupted country that prioritizes malays.

Yes the PAP is 50% at fault. The other 50% is the big 4 fault.
FYI, i dont vote for PAP for complacency sake. No blank cheque
But u must realize if the flood gates are not opened, with an aging population similar to what japan is facing, we might not have as strong as an economy, without those JHK. Eventhough they deflate our salaries. And if big 4 were to increase our salaries so as to attact more locals, it would have been better. But big 4 refuse to, so that is why they resort to hiring JHK.
So at the end of the day its big 4 fault for choosing to bring JHK in and refusing to raise local salaries to attract locals instead.
However if you realize, our gov has been raising the requirement for EP. So big 4 have no choice but to raise. hehe. machaim point middle finger to partners in big 4

I'm a property agent and i earn that amount in under a month.
I'm the cream of the crop for sure, but so are you. So that makes us comparable, but not equals for sure.
