If they work harder and longer, then it’s “fair” to give them the better performance grading and bonus.
How to compete? You lose even if you win.

its near impossible for JHK to be smarter than us. Our university ranking is not even on the same league. Their english level is a joke compared to our first world english. We even upgraded it to singlish for convenience sake.
JHK should be honoured they get to work with our BCC calibres local uni students.
Most of them will stuck at about M rank if lucky because how can they give training to A1 in that horrendous language. Those with bad english won't make it to partner for sure, maybe SM if lucky and decent english.

Yes this is very true. They have not much commitment in Singapore hence they can just focus on working 100% lol. But is fine.. if your managers are Singaporean, they will understand

You just have to find your niche because there's always competition in other ways. There's always other locals with connected parents or despo low SES kids as well... There's tons of local students constantly asking how to get into big 4 audit they really wanna get into big 4 audit because to them 3.6k is a lot.

Why not just study harder for A levels and choose another major?
That seems to be the most obvious solution to all the problems listed above.

Doesnt seem obvious to you.
Where were u 5 to 6 years ago when i was taking As and getting AAA?
Its too late now not becos people didnt study hard, its too late now becos jhk flood gates opened. But EP requirements changed so harder for jhk to come hahahah
