M&A/CF = MM IB, smaller deals as compared to IB. Advise both sell side/buy side transactions.
Restructuring = Combination of strategy, operations and legal work. Do both IB and consulting in this part of the world.
M&A operations/OTS/TSE/Integration and separation = Post merger ops. Need good pmo and problem solving skills. Some get to interesting CDD/ODD as well.
It is also not a place for strawberries and xenophobic losers. If you can't even get above average ratings in audit, please don't apply for transfer.

Not a place for strawberries and xenophobic losers? Cmon man, you think deals/TAS very prestigious? It's still a big 4 and it's not even the main revenue generating arm, which is audit. Deals people just ownself praise ownself

hahaha it is a fact that TAS/deals is way harder to get into compared to audit and the exit opps are way better as well so....

Is the yearly increment for civil war comparable to Big 4?

Not prestigious but definitely a better place compared to audit. Else why the average joes from audit keep sending their transfer requests to deals?

Not big 4, but - fresh out of school we have this perfectionist attitude and pride in work. I believe in working hard and doing my best in every piece of work which has my name on it.
I did get jaded/exhausted after a few years.
So I guess the seniors and juniors will paint you different stories, lol. Good for you if you can maintain your energy over the years.

Jaded, exhausted, did a few years and still there? What are you waiting for
The never ending OT and double book + solo tank job + not empowered to do actual audit work and maybe even going against the spirit of audit + become more of a project manager or client relationship manager + a mixed bag of superiors and colleagues + office politics between the SMs (seriously for what). Why bother subject yourself to that

Every year also promote (A>SA>AM>M) and total comp 6 digits by the time you hit manager (5 to 6 years). This deal is hard to beat.

I didn't say I'm "still there".
