Any suay A2 who has to tank the job alone here?
SIC not helping at all cuz not charging to the job and no capacity.
Wanted to talk to EM but think the big head only want the result but don’t care about the progress even though the staffs struggling and dying.
Covering A1’s work cuz study leave from my another job, and cover SIC’s work also cos they no capacity.
So the existence of A2 just wiping other’s ass only?
I’d rather downgrade to A1 and log off at 6pm everyday.
It’s the worst year of my life and mental breakdown since peak started.
If A2 kena such ****, it’ll just be worser and worser after become senior.
Is it only thick face people can survive in audit?
Want to know from which color? And yes, that’s the one. 😀

I'm A2 too. Helping S1 and A1 clearing and following up their work. Really problematic.

EY? It’s common for A1 to do A2 work and for A2 to do S1 work. Maybe because you are promoting to S1, they want to give you exposure.
Heard of A2s leading jobs as well. After the round table in May, even though you won’t be promoted until October, you will be doing the work of the rank above you while still being paid at the current rank.
It’s been a full year of peak time since associate. I don’t remember logging off at 6 pm. Yes, if you think being an associate is tough, being a senior is even tougher. Some managers will ask seniors to do work during study leave. You might end up doing two to four jobs.

My Snr friend told me that too. But I also got to know some peers don’t even have to lead job, just do certain sections work w/o helping clearing RPs after pull out, chill chill and still get promoted. One job is fine, but now rush for 2 at the same time. The ugly truth is when they found out that u don’t mind doing a bit more, then tons of work will be throwing to u. And now I tank alone and no one’s helping out. Guess that’s why i’m so frustrated.

Yes, my senior told me that too. But got to know some peers don’t hv to lead job n doing section work only, chill chill and still get promotion. The ugly truth is that once the uppers found out u don’t mind doing a bit more then tons of work will coming after u. I tried my best and really don’t know how to high-lvl work w/o proper guidance. And now rushing for 2 jobs but no one is helping me out which driving me crazy. Guess that’s why I’m so frustrated.

Red flags on a manager which made my senior life hard
1) they have no experience or power in booking manpower - come on isn't that your job? do it well if not your entire audit team suffers for your lack of competence
2) they only sit in office or wfh to review work, die die refuse to go client place
3) too focused on their personal KPI and time cost, so they book less staff
4) tell engagement x they busy focusing on engagement y, and tell engagement y they focusing on engagement x. end up manager is just slacking
