it's the mentality that accounting = cost centre so must minimise cost, quality be damned, just report the figures i want can already.

if you don't have 5 years of strong commercial exp already don't bother joining. it's a race to the bottom unless you have the type of profile that recruiters would fight for.

Actually SG govt v smart, they want Foreign trash to come and work for free. Hence, give them low pay first then after that let them work for free.

After that ask them pay to work in SG

If you have relevant industry experience, you'll get surprisingly good offers with wlb. Choose your companies wisely though.

Operations in bank pay more than accounting and audit. Credit analyst, processing, AML, risk, compliance, etc... Corporate banking, project finance is fine too. Go home no need to think about work that kind. If you like to drink and OT then join front office.
