You either quit a hero or stay long enough to see yourself become the villain.

Associates blame their managers for asking them to OT, but the reality is the managers were also once associates.. they are forced by circumstances, be it client or boss or stakeholder requirements

And there’s a survivor bias too. The ones who stayed to managers tends to be the ones who can tolerate strict deadlines and OT.

I can only place my beats on Gen Z overturning the culture. I need a cohort of babies born in 2000 to become managers.

I hanged on because I wanted to migrate. Otherwise I think people should just leave after 1-2 years.
