Is this decent progression for a 34yo? Saw a few MAP getting 4200++ which made me questioning myself.

No bonus or aws as well, hence didn't put annual.

Uhhh… are you a diploma grad? If so I would think you are doing above average of your peers since 2018 (assuming you went uni and grad at that time) at 3.9k is above average for many degrees.

Edit: No mention of your scope of work as well so can’t compare apple to pear or anything.

I removed this forum from my browser records for almost a year as it was making me feel too depressed and toxic. For those that aren't lying, it's mostly the higher performers that feel confident to talk about how much they earn and save. Maybe that's why it seems like the average person on Salary.sg earns 5 figures/mth in their 20s.

I'm almost 34 too...

2015: $500 (part time work part time course)
2016: $1000 (part time work part time course)
2017: $3700 (change employer; all numbers from here rounded up to the nearest $50 from odd figures in case my HR sees this and traces and know who I am, yes I'm paranoid)
2018: $4000 (increment)
2019: $4300 (increment)
2020: $4900 (promotion)
2021: $5100 (increment)
2021: $6600 (change role in same employer)

It's still a bloody joke compared to 99% of those in Salary.sg, but yes whatever... I'm like you, an average normal non-FAANG or technical guy.

Your increment from changing job is quite low leh though your organic increments are quite healthy.
