Default RE: Salary for procurement exec at DSTA

Hi. Anyone can update me on the new salary scheme for DSTA procurement exec position? Is it reasonable to ask for a starting salary of 4k for fresh graduate?

They tell you the pay, you accept. The government does not care what you "ask" for.

Really? But when I applied for it there is a column asking me to fill in expected salary. Anyway, care to share the salary scheme? i.e. first class...second class ..etc.

that is just standard form everyone use. let me repeat again, there is no such thing as the government asking what you want, they tell you what they pay and you accept or reject. period.

the fastest and only way to know for sure is to get the job then u know. think big, no need to keep getting concern over a few hundred miserable dolloar difference.

Default Working in singapore.

I want to work in Singapore with 3k-ish earning. It is insanely high compared to fresh graduate earning here in Indonesia.

How to do that?

Thank you.

"Key positions in the civil service are typically director-level jobs where the officer holds the entry-level superscale grade of MX9 or it's equivalent. The mid-point of the MX9 salary scale is about $13,750 per month."
- ST, Feb 23, 2013

So ST confirms this again today.

Also of note is that only 1 in 83 civil servants are in MX9, as mentioned in an earlier post in this super long thread. There are 77,000 civil servants in total.
