Those new officers joined after 1st Aug, will their salaries be adjusted after joining the service?

Their salaries would probably based on the revised scale already.

The 5% increment for MX11 is ridiculous.

I did some math and assumed that I wasn't promoted to MX11 few years back and that the usual % of MI is applied to my MX12 salary across the past few years. I found out that I will get around the same salary as an MX12 after the 9% adjustment as compared to my salary today AFTER the adjustment.

Based on my projection, if I remained an MX12 and got promoted only after this salary revision, I would end up with a higher salary. In other words, I am made worse off because I was promoted too early. Sigh.

Then those who are close to the old ceiling do not enjoy the full 9% increment since the new ceiling is less than 9% increase! Doesn’t make sense

Its never a bad thing to be promoted early. Your PB is a different quantum compared to mx12. You will also be likely to be considered for another promo again faster like a snowball effect.

MI is a fixed quantum and not a percentage of current salary. But having say so, those who got promoted just before the increment could lose out to others who get promoted later.

Revised salary ranges gathered from recent posts:

MX12:??? - 6250
MX11: 4800 - 7700
MX11A: 5900 - 9700
MX10: 7600 - 10773 / 10774 - 12300

(Anyone can fill in the starting salary for MX12?)

Thumbs down

I think why MX13 and MX11 are given 5%, there are reasons. (Im also MX11 mid career)

Most people enter at these grades.

Freshies at MX13, mid-careers at MX11 usually unless headhunted or someone recommends/vouches to bring you in.

Hence, it's one of the main reasons, or rather, the only reason they shortchanged these 2 grades.

Im doing more than some MX11a and yet getting this shiet increment. Makes me feel utterly sick.

This is also in exchange for freedom and not being able to do business/sidelines. Feel totally being screwed by the govt
