Does any know if the promotion is an actual one (i.e. it affects your PB, increments etc), or is it just in "name"? It is confusing also because at grade 11/11A, if you move from 1 rung to another, its an official promotion. However, SADs and DDs both sit at grade 10, granted the pay brackets are different.

If it's just a redesignation without a promotion in grade then it won't affect your salary. i.e. no salary increase so your PB, next increment etc will be tied to your current salary. To put it bluntly, you are technically taking on a higher level of responsibility but are not being paid more for it.
And I agree with the above poster - DD already still need to ask this? Lol

So there will be an actual promotion somewhere down the line, salary increment and all? I don't know why you guys would think a DD would know everything lol. I'm just focused in my area of work. Things like this I can ask HR but feels a little paisei. I went from SM to DD in less than 4 years so everything is a little hazy.

I am a fresh grad working in a Stat Board now.
I came across a number of non-scholars working average of 7-8 years+ in this stat board (since grad) and they promoted to MX10 aka with designation of DD leading a team.
How common is been promoted to DD (MX10) after 7 -8 years of service?
What their pay scale?

I believe stat boards are not on MX scheme. Thats for civil service, i.e. Ministries.
