Thanks for enlightening. 5 weeks from the day you received the verbal offer to the day you received the formal offer is rather long nonetheless!

The higher the security clearance required. The longer it will take.

LTA Software Engineer role
Hi all,
Does anyone know how much LTA pay their software engineers and what the annual package is like? I am a fresh grad from NUS ISS GDIPSA. Previously graduated from NUS mech eng(2nd lower) and had 1 year of working experience. Received a verbal offer from HR and was told they require some time to process their pre-employment checks before sending me the formal offer if everything goes well. TIA!

Under normal circumstances, you would have been informed of your compensation package during the verbal offer.

The job scope is aligned with what I am interested in but the pay is just unattractive. Should I take the offer (job hunting is really tough during covid) and "think long-term" because having a govt job in my industry seems reputable and I can get to learn in a relatively stable environment?
TLDR received offer from a ministry, am ok with everything except for the pay but unsure if I am too narrow minded
