Just want to add that when I previously intern at one of the Statboard, the hiring manager asked me to help him vet and filter the resume he received from HR so that he doesn't have to interview so many people.

Most probably manager of the toilet cleaners, that's why he's ok with the degree mill that is James Cook Uni.
You don't need a real degree to clean a toilet bowl, all you need is experience. Very hard to scrub hard caked poo off the toilet bowl.

Some of the replies here can be so toxic. I concur that experience/accomplishment,followed by attitude/culture fit are more important than the certification. Though there should be a baseline for these things.

Generally capable people with good attitude and work ethic but no fancy scholarship won't go into civil service

anyone knows if cs/sb offer is calculate based on work experience or still the traditional method request payslip and calculate based on last drawn salary?
currently is degree holders and low salary serving SME.
