Just came back from Lengkee showroom

What a crowd. People whipping out cheque books

Looks like COE will continue its rise back to $100k again.

Lucky I book my guaranteed COE at $70k for CatB. What a great deal.

Wow!

You are so lucky. May I know how much you pay for your car? How much is your combined household income and net worth?

Yes. Indeed feeling lucky.
Bought a Altis. Paid $113k.
My HH income is $120k pa, so it's only 10% of my annual income. Still manageable.

Net worth roughly $1mil. We are in our late 30s.

That's great! You have done well! With a combined net worth of $1m in your 30s put you among the top 10% of your cohort. 10% of HH income is very manageable as long as you don't have bad habits such as drinking, smoking and gambling.

Thanks for sharing. We plan to retire once our kids got married and move to their BTO flats. We aim to get a passive income of $40k pa to retire.

Misc $200 pm
Total $1700 pm or $20.4k pm

So, if you have passive income of $30k pa or $2.5k pm, you can retire.

How you know that is top 10%? From which survey or database?

I am in early 30s, earning >$150k pa and have net worth of $990k. Where am I in my cohort?

Don't know whether it's the same guy who booked catB COE at $70k. Just wondering how come this guy replied saying he bought an Altis with it? Altis COE belongs to Cat A right?
