Hello, anyone who previously or currently work as an accountant in Japanese companies.

Care to share the variable bonus (excluding AWS) & annual salary increment (%)?

Appreciate genuine replies. thanks in advanced.

Japanese companies increment average 3% bonus about 1 month on top of AWS

Funnily, I also want to retire at 47 (as its the year 2020). I've got 7 more years to 47. . Looks like I'll need to make sure I earn about 120/130 k p.a. over the next 7 years. Only problem is how to get 3 properties fully paid by then!

perhaps you can share a bit more of your profile?
how much are you earning now? what job and industry?
where do you live? do you own any investment properties?
what's your current net worth?
married with kids?
etc

Setting an unrealistic target is useless. Just aim to make as much as possible.

Many contributors to this forum are the high flyers, making so much.
Let me shame my family's income. I am just a below average guy you may not know about.
I'm 44 and my wife is 42. We earn a combined income of just $70,000 per year.
Yes, we are not earning much but we are happily staying in our 4 room HDB flat which we bought many years ago. We have 2 wonderful kids. We don't have a car. We are a happy family who loves to go out together using the MRT and buses.
