Default We are going to retire rich

My family and I plan to move from our landed home this year to a condo to take advantage of our landed property price. Our landed property price rose too much and we decided to take profit and so we can make 100m dollars. After that we will move to a new condo and pay for it in cash. We are going to enjoy staying in a condo because of the beautiful landscaping and the amenities in Sentosa Cove.

We realized that living in our landed home had a few advantages: (1) we can park many cars in our compound (2) people walk pass and stop there looking at our home to admire (3) DIY little at the garden to sweat (4) enjoying high standard of living (5) keep 5 dogs (6) private security with Gurka (7) Driver by the side. The only not so good thing about staying in too big landed property is must communicate with family members using hand phone.

When my wife and I finally retire, we plan to retire in a condo not because we love condo living too much. We rather stay in a small studio condo unit rather than moving to a even bigger bungalow in the park. I will be able to see my wife every moment as and when I like, minus the telephone communication as what we are doing now. We then buy a studio condo unit for $800k, we will have $100m cash to buy dividend stocks which can give us dividends.

I am going to donate 10k a month to a forumer who deserve. You know very well we Singaporean are the richest in this part of the world!

We are a mid 40s couple, 43/45, working class family.
Income from salaries $150k pa combined.
Passive income from our CPF (we love the guaranteed returns of our OA, SA, MA) $22k pa.
Total income $172k pa.
Savings $42k pa.
We bought a 3 bedroom condo for $600k in 2003. Now paid up and valued at $1.4m.
Own a 3 year old car, paid up.
Debt free.

Yes, many people are not aware that the CPF is another avenue to grow your money. In the current low interest rate climate, the 2.5% in the OA and 4% in the SA and MA are very good returns indeed, some more it's guaranteed.

This was what we did to maximize the CPF returns:
1. Top up the SA to the limit. We did that 10 years ago, and now our SA exceeds $200k each.
2. Put cash back into our OA account the money we withdrew to pay for our home. If you can pay back to your OA account the full amount you took out to buy your home, the CPF will no longer "charge" you interest.
3. Put our extra cash into our children and parents' CPF accounts to take advantage of the tax savings

For us, our combined interest earned from CPF totaled $45k this year! It is nice knowing that there is this chunk of money waiting for you when you hit 55!

Mid 50s couple. We are thinking of retiring soon. Here's the plan:

Rent out our 5 room hdb flat $3k pm
Convert to RM and get RM8k pm
Rent a 3 room condo in JB RM1k pm
Food and utilities RM2k pm
Car petrol RM200 pm
Misc RM800 pm
Savings RM4k pm

We can visit our kids at their BTO flat once a fortnight.

When we reach 65, we will get $2,400 pm from CPF Life
We can save more.

Our flat and CPF Life are our assets.

Default Are you getting paid right ??

Have you ever wonder the amount you getting is right according to the current paying trend or you are underpaid? Have a Look to a fabulous salary portal and find, compare your salary according to designation and place. The salary portal is named as NaukriHub.com and have some tools like salary calculator and salary checker.

The first COE bidding for 2015 has started.

Let's celebrate!

COE prices will rise as 100,000 car owners are changing to new cars this year!!!!!!!

If your need a new car for CNY to show to your friends and relatives, buy your new car now.

With cheap oil, better to own your own car than take a taxi. Oil price drop but taxi fare never drop, so better buy new car.

Be patient. Hold your horses. When the 100,000 tsunami quota is here in 2016, COE will drop like a rock to $30k!!
