Thank you for your answer!

I was thinking I need to make a minimum of about S$200k p.a., but more realistically should be in the S$300k p.a. range, considering the amount of responsibility I will have.
Just waiting for the offer from my company, should get that next week.

Even though I earn a modest income, I am very happy and contented. Why? Because I came from a low income family and now I am in the middle class group. I own a nice public flat and I am still healthy at 52.

When I think and reflect, I realised how very fortunate I am. I was born in this world without anything, but I was lucky to be blessed with loving parents, who were not well off, but took good care of me. I am also very lucky to be born normal physically and mentally. I have eyes to be able to enjoy the beauty of the creations of the Al Mighty. I also have a properly functioning body, and I am blessed to be able to think, reflect and understand the true meaning of our life in this temporary world.

I am lucky to be able to grow up in an education system which allows me, a child from a low income family, to do reasonably well and eventually secure a decent good job.

Today, I have a beautful, loving family, whom I cherish a lot.

I am a repeat poster.

Me & my wife make 260k a year. Should be happy and easy life except that my son is an ASD boy. Just this week, the amount of sleep I have gotten since Monday till today is less than 15 hours. Many ASD kids have sleeping disorders.

Mine starts to scream when we make him go to sleep at 12 mn. On Monday night, he slept at 5am. Anyone wants to trade in a normal son with mine and we can exchange salary ?

He is also prone to head banging and tantrums a lot. Count yourselves blessed. Problems that money can solve are not real problems, this that money cannot solve are the real biggies..

Low middle income earner, 46, $75k pa.
Spouse, 40, $80k pa.
4 room HDB, worth $400k. Still servicing loan.
Owns a motorbike, ride to office.
Can we qualify for an EC?
Should we upgrade to an EC?
Any comments from those staying in EC?
Thank you.
