I do not own nor stay in a landed property, but the many I see in S'pore don't really have big land area. All built up vertically. Hard to clean and a lot of climbing up and down. Not good for older people. Wifi signal in house also not well distributed. Roads along landed properties also clogged up with parked cars and "reserved" bins. Fights between neighbors / visitors have been reported because of this. Dengue problem some more because neighbors don't take care of clogged drains / roof etc.. No end to problems.
Robert Kiyosaki? omg.

Pathetic. All the money in the world but nobody to share with for the rest of your life.

Must be tough on you.

If relatives and wife don't look down on you then it's ok. What about yourself? Can you live with it? But got to watch the income gap. Once your wife's pay far exceeds yours, "problems" can surface...

No problem at all. My $60k pa earnings are from my 2 rental condos, fully owned by me. The condo we live in is shared between me and my wife. The car is fully paid by me. I was a high flyer banker before so people know who I was. Now I am retired, doing charity voluntary work to help the needy and destitute. Our household expenses is only $80k pa, the bulk paid by me. My wife's salary is largely saved for her to buy her own investment condo. My wife looks up to me from the day we met, so I have no ego issues at all.
