Tua Kang?
What make you think so?
Though I do not have the same networth as the poster (cos wife not working) but I don't doubt that amount based on my own networth and age.
The fact is there are many around that has higher networth especially for working graduate couple in their 40's. Many would have combined income of $180-250K annually.

50 year old sole breadwinner, $100k pa only. Spouse used to work but now a home maker to take care of our kids. We managed to clear our condo's mortgage. We bought our condo in 2006, now it is worth $1m. Our other assets (emergency cash, CPF, equities) are worth $600k in total. I go to work by MRT and bus. We now lead a more frugal life, instead of going holidays twice a year, we go once a year. But we are happier as spouse has more time for me and the kids. There are more laughter than arguments nowadays, it was the opposite when my spouse was working.

Is it true that white foreigners make much more than locals and other foreigners in Singapore?

Wow.. Admire your courage. I'm a divorcee too.. Aged 32.
I have similar plans and intend to retire off my stock and bond portfolio as well. Last year the portfolio dividends managed to hit $200k .. I've also since paid off my $2m condo and car loan so I've achieved the first step of being loan free..
