The factual data is literally right above your post, 160k pa is top 10 percentile. Guess everyone else is trash then.
Out of curiosity, why 8-10k per month? Why not 20k, why not 100k? Is it because you don't hit those bands?

No way to make 100k/month as an employee, unless you are a minister, CEO, top forex trader or investment banker.
Or law partner or surgeon

Based on MOM statistics.
s://stats. mom.gov.sg/Pages/Labour-Force-In-Singapore-2022.aspx
Using Table 33
EMPLOYED RESIDENTS AGED FIFTEEN YEARS AND OVER BY GROSS MONTHLY INCOME FROM WORK (EXCLUDING EMPLOYER CPF), AGE AND SEX, JUNE 2022
Using Age 30- 34 (Slightly less than or equal to 10 years' experience)
With 160k per annum income will put in the top 2.5%
Using Age 35 - 39 (Greater or equal to 10 years' experience)
With 160k per annum income will put in the top 5.6%
Based on your comments, there is more than 90% of trash in these age groups.
Why do you measure one person's worth with income? I am sure the people who you called trash are doing more meaningful work than you.

Because 8-10k a month is viable for most college grads nowadays
even my parents who dont have a degree or even a diploma hit 9k after 10 years and my siblings with degree hit 10k after 5-6 years and they are not even in fast growing fields like tech
im in tech and already went from 4.5k to 5.5k after 6 months, 5.5k to 6.5k after 1 year and will hit 8k sometime next year. theres people earning 2x more than i do who are better, i'm fairly average, a typical CS grad and i can hit 10k within 10 years.

Showing real statistics from Singapore MOM published data to tell the facts.
You have no right to call others a thrash and it is more than 90% of the people here.

As I have mentioned in my post that more than 90% of the people who do not earn 160k per annum after 10 years experience as published by the MOM statistics.
Be humble with what you have achieved and not be snobbish just that you have higher income and going around calling others thrash. Do note that there is no evergreen industry.

So you've been trash your entire life yeah? Since you've never even hit 7k, much less the 8k to qualify by your own logic. "On track to" is just that... "on track", "hasn't happened yet", "not reality".
Also, the MOM data posted contradicts your claim that 8-10k is viable for most graduates. It shows that only around 10% hit those amounts compared to the 42% of Singaporeans who have a bachelor's degree or higher.

You've lost the argument when you need to name call people.
I said nothing about people being trash. What a joke, you can't differentiate the troll and other posters? Smh.

Look at the post I quoted and what you're saying.
10k a month isn't 160k. No idea what are you even talking about.
