There isnt pay rise
I confirm with my boss already
Just get back to work
Sg economy still uncertain
2024 still has challenges
Raising public sector pay at this critical juncture may strike a chord of discordance with the mass public
Hope our docs understand, instead of adopting a narrow sectarian view

Was wondering if anyone can share any insight regarding the different gp groups in Singapore? Plenty of posts comparing ops vs private vs aesthetics but very few discussion about the different gp groups in sg.

Seems that it will take a while before public sector pay catches up with private sector. (Not just fp/doctors, talking about in general across healthcare)

Why would public catch up with Pte
There is a pay gap due to risk premium
Bankers earn more than civil servants
Tuition centre teachers earn more than Moe teachers
What public sector get is stability

Dk why this obsession about a pay rise?
There’s absolutely no indication for one.
Everyone is dispensable. They just need random folks with MBBS title to fill the seat and see patients.
What makes you think your boss is dying to retain you.

think about it - whether you are MBBS, GDFM, MMed, FCFP...
the value you can add to a patient within 5 minutes is the same.
hence, there is really no incentive to keep increasing your pay.
might as well keep the pay low, retain RPs and MBBS holders to run the show.
low running cost, same output = good governance.

Hello. OPS / fam med is meant to be cheap labour, healthier SG to prevent healthcare costs from escalating.
There is no incentive to pay you more at all. You chose this route so suck it up.
Stop complaining and whining about pay raise.
|
Exactly, what value does OPS bring to the patients?
In fact, it should be the specialists and hospital staff getting pay raise.
Dont worry, AAR and allowances are coming, hang in there hospital staff.
