My advice is to join the large groups rather than small chains though the latter may pay better. As leave is difficult to take, esp MC in the latter.
There is more Drs contact and not so lonely in large groups too with allowances given in my group RMG for 3 mthly group dinners even. S$1K allowance for dinner for about 8 people. Enjoyed their Dinner and Dance and have Dr gatherings planned too.
Small groups is very stressful. See more patients too. I find it not sustainable longterm as my physical stamina not so good. Get burned out.

I think esp for female Drs, it is better to join large groups. RMG is quite flexible about family friendly hrs for the female GPs.
Let the young fit male Drs chiong in the small groups if they can and want.

Is not all or nothing.
Not black or white.
Cant be 100% patients have good control/biomarkers
Also not all patients are difficult and dont want to listen.
Give up some, the rest do good medicine with them.
Some balance

Are you the RMG dr under conditional?
Yes you cannot do that.
Even if you are not interested must act interested and listening.
Thete are a few tricks to make it seem like listening and get people
To kerp talking.
Read some books on how to be a good conversationalist.
If you getting too many cases where you didnt know whether
Customer happy or not then it could be you not picking up
Non verbal cues.
Also not asking them enough.

Sg is likely to go the way of other 1st world countries that
Have proper fam med res programs in order to
Work as a GP.
So if you plan to be a dr have to at least complete
Some residency. Fam med is the most basic one

Problem is that fm residency on its own is worthless. It needs to be paired with a mmed cert. No one will recognize the certificate of completion for residency if one doesn't clear the mmed exam. (And ofc one can do mmed without residency, aka program b which is a less stressful route I feel)

That's quite absurd.
The system should be setup that passing MMed is the requirement
To finishing and passing residency.
It is how other countries do it.
