Thats the problem in sg. A lot of the net worth is stuck
In where you live.
So on paper sounds good. High net worth.
In reality less free cash/liquid assets.
And why obsession with landed?
You got maid to clean house etc?
When I am old I dont want to be mowing lawn and cleaning
Big house anymore.
No such thing as cheap maids from 3rd world countries
Where I live now.

My freehold terrace was bought at S$1.1 mil in 2010, shot up to S$1.8 mil in 2013, then dropped and rose again to S$1.8 mil in 2018 when we sold. Now is worth S$3 mil. Sob, really shouldn't have sold.
In Sg, property bought at a right time is the best investment.

If we had just stayed in our marital home which is an executive condo that is leasehold, our networth wouldn't be S$3.5 mil now but S$2.5 mil. So it is important to grow yr assets as u age. Invest in freehold or new leasehold private condo and freehold or 999 year landed in Sg. Won't go wrong unless u buy at a peak.

Was sometime ago. Maybe I am mistaken then. That is good news for me. Shall aim to be a fulltime healthscreener then once full reg. Much safer.
