Imagine comparing Oxford to delisted. That's the same as comparing something worthy to be framed with newspapers.
Just try to be objective. I’m a summa from SMU and I can tell you I’ve worked with very brilliant people from the so-called delisted unis you have been trying to throw shade on.
Letting jealousy get the better of you will only cause your career to stagnate. Instead focus on how with your 2:2 from NUS, you can do better in practice to compensate for it.
Stop wasting time on a forum like this.
This is a forum to discuss salaries so that people can make informed decisions in a job search and transition.

Not the OP but I’m not sure why you felt the need to declare yourself as a summa. I’ll leave the rest to speculate on the pointless reference to your class of honours and what it reflects of your clear insecurities.

K… all this pointless arguing is, well, pointless. Nothing more than a dick measuring contest. Everyone in this conversation is insecure AF.

I mean there's some element of humblebragging there.. but the main "intent" seems to be for him to say that, as a good local uni graduate, he is able to see if the delisted people are good or ****, and he can objectively tell you that some of them are good workers.

His vote of confidence won't really hold any sway if he came from a delisted or overseas uni (and therefore has a vested interest) or if say he got a low mark at a local uni (and therefore as a sucky grad, won't be able to tell if someone is objectively good).

You are prime meat man. They are desperate for associates at that PQE. You might even be able to lateral in with minimal PQE discount, maybe even none at all. Just apply.

It's a seller's market now. Law firms are damn desperate. Know your worth.

Oh please. He just was bragging about himself. His class of honours is irrelevant to the discussion. That’s like saying a non FCH won’t know a brilliant person when they see one. And if his point is “well, I’m such a brilliant person”, I’m not sure his humblebrag comes close to the praise he is endowing upon himself.
