Yep. You definitely don't get as much as an international firm assoc but the difference is not as ridiculous as some people seem to think it is. It's still a very handsome living, and far above most of the population.

JP at big 4 is 15 to 20k pm.

The monthly doesn’t increase much once you hit SA/JP. It’s the bonus that increases instead, based on billings.

anyone know of law firms that have a healthy working culture. dont mind OTing occasionally but not to the extent of mental health

some small firms have it good. used to work in one which allowed me to go home on the dot most days. i think the worst is working in a small firm which has no prospects, low pay and long hours. I really dont know why some ppl decide to go on with that.

those pple have no options mah. i know of one girl delisted uk university, second lower honours summore. prior to that her secondary school is a neighborhood school and grades at temasek poly aint that great too obviously her choices are limited so she went to some law firm nobody heard of - salary is 3k plus

tbh if your grades like **** you also cannot expect too much
