B4 liti teams will usually match your PQE once you are done.
Do JLCs that stay on in service get paid better than non-JLCs? How big is the gap?

Yes, the money.

I've been made to look stupid by an NUS grad. I shall report him to my Oxbridge campfire friends

Let me share a story with you.
Back then when a friend, C, was green like you and just back from Oxbridge, a senior (+2 Pqe) from Local law criticized C’s work. Very rude and unkind and uncalled for anyway.
Fast forward 8 years, C has far surpassed the guy in every way possible. Partnership, but firm, clients, etc.

I have friends in Oxbridge and the intake for law is even smaller at postgrad level.
Maybe 4-5 Singaporeans max per LLM/BCL batch.

For undergrad law, it’s 10 Singaporeans max per BA Law batch.
Not actually true. I graduated from Oxford in 2017 and my batch had 20 of us. Subsequent batches below us ranged from 15-20 also.

It’s actually much lesser at Cambridge then. Think around 9-10 in my year.
I know the intake at Oxford is much bigger

Actually the Sg intake at Cambridge is much smaller bcos of the following:
Oxford requires IB: 38 (including core points) with 666 at Higher Level
Whereas Cambridge requires IB: 40-42 points, with 776 at Higher Level

It’s slightly easier to get into Oxford rather than Cambridge for law
