If I am the managing partner, would have fired all and keep a very lean team to weather through the storm.
Meaning only 6-10pqe is useful.
a 6 to 10 PQE wouldn't be content to be doing drudge work under you, numbnut, when he can go out to be a senior legal counsel in a corporation or a partner in another firm

you sound like an out of touch chinatown sole prop who wonders why he can't hire any associate to be a wage slave

Sure. Do tell them about your work experiences in criminal, estate planning, motor claims, conveyancing, etc. International firms are looking for associates with such skill sets to run and assist in their multi-million dollars files. No corporate m&a experience? Not an issue because there are friendly senior associates to help you and hold your hand.

Oh how this forum has fallen… from sophisticated debates to ‘2nd lowers can get job?’ and ‘I fail part B how ah’

Quite telling of the standards of incoming assocs and current law students compared to just 5 years ago.

Isn't white collar crime transferable to investigations

Truly millennials with an exceedingly horrendous entitlement mentality on this forum.
Law is a business ultimately. In a crisis other industries are retrenching staff. Why is the 1-4 Pqe so special that they ought to be shielded or insulated from market externalities?

OP is in a big four firm with 10 Pqe earning a good wage. Pls don’t feel sorry for OP.

Piecing all together, I can do well in baker even if I'm from Liverpool macquarie, not a full advocate and solicitor in sg, earn cushy pay and lord over poor qualified sg servants if I curry favour, play politics and have excellent gamesmanship. But I will not be able to do that in baker disputes as it is highly competitive and the head is very hands on and the poor performers have since been eradicated.
