globallegalpost.com/big-stories/dwf-to-close-brussels-and-singapore-offices-and-cut-60-jobs-87466570/

Anyone affected by this? DWF is closing its Singapore office. I know that there are a couple of Singapore qualified partners and lawyers there.

Guys to tell you the truth, I'm from NUS failed ACP and/or got a 2.2 and/or got a 2.1 and no job, so I write on this forum anonymously to diss others. Got plenty of time as I am fun-employed

what are the main differences betw contracts drafted by MC and B4 firms?

are the precedents alot better? or the MC lawyers are just way more skilled at freehand drafting?

I think the differences lie more in the size/nature of the transaction rather than the quality of drafting? I’m sure B4 T1 Corp teams have lawyers who are as competent as MC ones.

What's the inside scoop on this? Lots of feel good platitudes about an amicable parting, but I'm curious to know if the merger made any difference?

Sorry to hijack the ongoing local vs overseas uni flame wars.

Today is the date the Eversheds / Harry Elias merger ends (30 June).

Any HarryE insiders can tell us what's the sentiment so far? Is it a dark day? Are people sad over the de-merger or more or less life as usual? Any perceived drop in prestige?

Understand that ppl may not be privy or cannot share the reasons for the split but if you can share the on-the-ground sentiments that'll be great.

This is of some interest to me for reasons i won't specifically state .

Sorry you either join the NUS-UCL/KCL flame wars or you get out.

To continue, KCL and UCL are degree mills.

You're just unhappy they took your jobs.. come on, it's a free market. And the market so far has not reflected any of the hate you have levelled on my school. UCL has not even been delisted.

Is it just the same idiot posting these moronic comments again and again?

To the person (who I know will read this cause you're clearly checking this page every 5 minutes): Get a life. Seriously. You're a loser.
