I have not met a NUS 2.1 being outdone by a delisted UK FCH.

I know this is quite a controversial thing to say, but I don't mean to offend anyone. Just fax.
This is just selection bias. Lots of capable delisted UK FCH grads end up working in London. They’re smart enough to see that the lifestyle/career prospects are just that much better there compared to SG law firms. I daresay I’ve seen plenty who have outdone even NUS FCH in that regard.

I think billable hours recording varies lah. Some firms allow assocs to record all billable work done, and actual billings is the partner's problem. Others only allow recording of billable hours that are very likely to be actually billed, which means multiple layers of discounting, in order to show clients that their fee is very reasonable.

Nice originality there. However, NUS does not have a presence in London and therefore you have made a failed comparison with an example that is non-existent in a feeble attempt to protect your fragile ego.

Quite ironic that you call it selection bias.

Let me give you an example so you understand what selection bias is. Are Singaporeans rich? Are the average Singaporeans richer than the average guy from Country X? Yes.

Oh but I know many rich guys from Country X. Does that change the empirical fact that the average Singaporean is equivalent to the top 10% of Country X? Nope.

Why did you select the top 10% then? Selection bias.

Second. Do successful persons from a delisted school in Country X work in Country X? Yes. Let's take your assumption that working at Firm Y in Country X is an indicator of success. Is there a reason why persons from Country A do not work at Firm Y in Country X? Yes.

This is because they don't live there you moron

Yeah that’s why so many posters are asking whether it’s better to study law in England rather than Singapore so that they don’t end up in the selection bias like you mentioned.
Go overseas in an attempt to beat the odds rather than stay in Singapore and be part of selection bias.

Hello. So many SG RI and HCI folks go on to England study law...
What’s wrong with asking in this forum.
Some come back after few years working in London, they can share whether SG outfit of their international firm hold salary.

Civ service is a bad comparison. Cos not international.
Anyway you seem like a disgruntled dude.
Used to be like you. But left after making JP.
