Hey just a quick question guys. If I am a associate for several years in a firm (not yet promoted to senior associate) , do you think I should apply for a Senior associate position in another firm?

How many years have you been there? Generally, you're not going to get a promotion by moving unless you're ridiculously good and have an established reputation. Given that you're a JA, that seems unlikely. Best to check with your current bosses as to what the plan is for you.

I work for a small firm. Partner promised profit sharing and followed through.
I now profit share, and go home on the dot most days.
There are some good small firms out there - i think sometimes it really just depends on your luck.
