Most of us are lured in this way.
But there are worse occupations around. Not complaining, wouldn't complain.

Every intern (teenagers ah) I encountered in the office - when I asked them why they want to study law. They said they watch some angmoh legal drama. I bet its Suits or something, 80% is suits (which tbh isn't even that great btw imo).
I always try hard not to laugh lah - I mean after all hongkong dramas are one big factor why I study law lol. Now I just realize how naive they sound.

Especially in fam and crim law. Because emotions are heightened right, mo matter how well you articulate, they may be very well educated but because they are in the worse states of their lives, logic is lost on them. They just cannot get through. It's human nature, it is inevitable so yes they will definitely call repeatedly and ask the same qns over and over again even when your answers remain the same just to seek reassurance.

The Good Wife (and The Good Fight) - both legal dramas raised many issues which are actually very interesting

There are some good small firms out there - i think sometimes it really just depends on your luck.

is there any way to find such small firms? or is it just pure luck?
