Serious questions here: when firms/partners announce for pay cuts/pay freeze by reason of covid/economy uncertainty or anything that fills the blank, do they take a cut or a freeze too?
Asking because it seems that we have been billing crazy amounts

Of course not, housing prices, COE prices and cai png prices increase due to covid will PAP cut ministers pay? Don't ask questions you know the answer to.

Realise how only the local firms (including big 4) cut salary bonus increment people. Then they say stuff like groom you become equity - even if u somehow made it well thats only cos u are the only one who has [wisely] decided to stay behind.
Intl firms on the other hand increase pay covid bonus special bonus during covid.

I think the simple fact here is that local firms pays is low because of the army of associates they keep at junior level (who arent efficient to begin with) everything clear clear clear. Send call invite also clear. And partners arent willing to compromise on the $ they take in to appease the little ones. Dont like it quit lo. They also know u nowhere to go cos the other local firms all doing the same.
Intl firm teams smaller more efficient more flat structure. Cut pay? Will get poached by someone who will pay and recognise the talent.
Tldr the same assoc who was in a sg firm will suddenly double ir more than double his pay gg intl overnight. Same dude became einstein overnight?
Know your worth and your value people. Dont sell yourself short. Dont bluff yourself
