It depends if you're going into the civil service "related" industries (where you can get a bump for your 2 years of NS) or not. But generally it's always around 4k+, but with larger govt bonuses, so you end up with approximately the same overall package as your peers in private practice (obviously you might get slightly more or less depending on your honours class and depending on what agency you go into). You also get better hours, but at the expense of maybe receiving a PQE cut if you want to move out of government services to private practice.

Grateful if anyone can confirm that the following is generally accurate for a big 4 firm generally in the current climate:
NQ: 5,500
1PQE: 6,500
2PQE: 7,500
3PQE: 8,500
4PQE(SA): 9,500
5PQE(SA) : 10,500
6PQE(JP) :12,500

Think its higher for each band from 3 onwards. JP at 12.5 can’t be right… people CC 2 pqe already 15k
