Smile How to bargain with HR for an expected salary package???

Hi folks,

I've been working in the IT industry for 9 years.
My current company which I'm working now is the no.4 company, have been working there as systems engineer for 1.5 years.
I just received a job offer from a well-known US MNC, will be working as senior systems engineer once I finalized my expected salary discussion with their HR.
Just to check with you guys is that acceptable to receive a 10 - 15% pay jump when switching to a new job, which is quite similar to my past 1.5 years work experience, it's a senior level at the new company.
Kindly seek for your advice how to bargain/negotiate with the HR for a decent salary package at the market rate?
Thanks in advance

My motto is if lateral move no 25% no move.

If bigger job scope move no 30% no move.

+2

Be sure to secure a considerable higher basic, just in case they screw you up with bonuses and increment.

most impt, how much do u think they are willing to pay a premium over an untested guy with a similar set of experience, bearing in mind the risk that he will underperform and not fit into tue company culture. As compared to the tried and tested you!

from exp i will say 15% is way too low. considering all the risk of moving usually i go for 30% and settle min 20%-25% if i like the co. and the boss.
