ha, I wished I can afford to take a break first. But looking at real life example of ex colleague who resigned before getting a job (and taking near to 1 yr to land a new job) really make me hesitate. Furthermore I am not financially well off to sustain 1 yr without job as I have to support my parents, bills and expenses. For info, I am working as a farmer in one of the economic stat bds dealing with frontline operations.

This particular dept of my current stat board is handling work of operational nature and public facing. On a typical work day, I have to go without breakfast and lunch in order to rush out or attend to matters (very often claim as urgent and immediate) thrown to me out of nowhere and to the extent having to forgo going to toilet or taking water break. Don't know how long I can hold out. It has already affected my physical and mental health in some ways...

And not to mention we are expected to bring laptop home and attend to email after office hours and weekends. When major issue cropped up, have to stay till near midnight to rush out report to explain to Mgmt.

How long have u been working there?
Even if you want to jump ship, would you have time to go for interviews?
