Does civil and public service still ask for previous company payslips now prior offer? Thought they abandoned the practice since MOM Minister say no rule to this. If don’t show payslip can show IRAS statement instead for preceding year?

Hi all,
Does anyone face clearance for about 4-5 months? I have had a verbal offer from around May but seems like the clearance is taking extra long. I am a fresh grad entering into a govt statutory board.

Is it a sensitive role that requires cat 1.
It's common waiting time for clearance.
Clear G50 need 1 to 3 months min. Faster if they expedite the hiring.
Clear Cat 1 need 6 month min. I know some clear for 8 months to 1 year in gov.
So yup. But better for you to drop hr a email to check also on progress instead of blindly waiting

Hi again, was the poster yesterday but just wanna update that they've finally confirmed me verbally and I'll be going down to sign in the coming weeks. Also want to encourage everyone here not to give up too (I know the feeling too because I've been waiting very long as well, but I'm fortunate to have a job while searching). Hang in there and they should eventually respond especially after the 2nd interview or the initial offer.
Just a brief timeline of my application journey:
Mid of Feb: Applied on portal
End of Mar: Shortlist
Start of Apr: Tech Test
End of May: Interview
Start of June: Test
Start of July: Interview
End of July: Interview and Tech Test
Start of Aug: Initial salary confirmation
Now (Oct): Verbal offer, to sign in coming weeks
I think this process is more or less right for sensitive roles, although I can't be sure as I've yet to enter civil service:

Thank you. I am not sure if my role is sensitive. besides i will never know whether i am actually cleared for G50 or cat 1 right. I just hope that the clearance will not fail as i have waited for many months for this. I asked the HR they say they are checking for me but it has to do with ISD i think and they cannot do anything on their side.

Hi, not sure did anyone encountered the same as me but I was told by HR they're still processing my application, conducting screening when asked about the outcome after waiting for 2 months. The role that I applied is in HR ministry.

Did they give you a verbal offer or some sort of confirmation that you are chosen and clearance in progress? Or after final interview still waiting.

No verbal offer given. All i was told to wait for clearance just like how i previously waited before joining ministry. Was told all stages has been cleared ncluding reference check. They did asked if I'm keen to join them too. And when i called them to check, they also did ask if I've found a job yet, since my answer is no just wait they're doing screening.
