still curious for reply from this OP regarding his own job performance...? seems like no substance leh

Have called up HR to check on the status but there's no update although they did say that they will update as soon as they make a decision, so no news for now is good news I hope.
strange, they offered you a salary package so long ago, but without an official offer? must have been nerve wrecking for you.... all the best!!

btw, if you dont mind sharing, what position is this?

Thanks, it's been very intense because the process is naturally very long (sensitive role) but the approval process after the initial salary offer is taking a while too and I hope it really goes through because the interviews and tests weren't easy.

I don't want to elaborate much about the actual position but it's in a defence-based agency within the civil service that's not a stat board like DSO/DSTA and it's located within Science Park, so it's probably easy to guess. It should be under the MX scheme.

I see, from what I understand, in the civil service, salary offer mean you are pretty much hired already, pending a formal approval... although that can really really take a while.. okay hope you hear some good news real soon! are you currently employed?

Yeap, I have a job so it's not really urgent but the wait is definitely quite nerve-wrecking, haha! Hopefully the approval finalises this month (if the 3-month clearance period after the offer is anything to go by) and I can really have a peace of mind.

Ah, great that you have a current job while waiting for a new offer.... the wait would have been much more nerve-wrecking otherwise..... all the best! update if you have good news

Hi, what does it mean if HR say they will get back in 1 to 2 months time after my 2nd interview? Are they interviewing other candidates or I am not their first choice?

Hard to say, so many questions, so many possibilities...

Maybe to give us a better idea... Which agency? what role is this? junior or senior? specialised or general? are they still accepting applications? when did you apply?

also more importantly, how qualified are you for this role and how did you feel in both interviews? putting all these together can give u a better idea of what might be happening...

Default No news

Have been applying for 20 over jobs in public sectors for almost 9 Months and only have 3 interviews. Not sure if I should persist on or just give up? Seemed like hard to get into public sectors.

Which roles are you applying for? are you fresh grad, early career or mid career?
