Honestly you do not have any other choice except ops admin exec jobs. Assuming you are an above average performer, you will need at least another 7-8 years before moving to spec is possible.

Forget about those degrees, they are useless. Just try & apply for an entry level specialist recruitment job in a MNC, your background has a decent (but not high) chance.

most global mncs dun care as long as ur hiring portfolio and track record is there. u can always buy a degree from shri once ur confirmed with a hr job, otherwise waste money.

glcs and old fashion mncs then need to get a degree first, but join this kind of co as hr waste of time & career imo.

Default advice

I was from HR, went on 2 years npl and was posted to do admin for 2yrs. Been wanting to go back HR.

I want to ask will company consider the 2 yrs experiences?

Also I been thinking, by next year if I am not able to land a HR job, to quit without a job. Was thinking to get a temp 6months HR job or jobs that require HR urgently if I really quit without a job.

Not sure do-able or not?

Advice appreciated.

IMO if you really want to go back into HR, try to make a switch asap. It'll be tough to justify your decision to move back into HR if you contemplate too long.

As for your prior experience, I personally think that companies would probably take that into consideration if there is a certain relevance between what your previous job scope and the position you have applied for. But that said, try to update yourself with the current legislative labour laws etc so that you can market yourself better to prospective employers even with the lapse.

As posted by the previous forummer, career advancement in MNCs are usually based on merit and a host of other factors rather than pure academic qualifications.

IMO if you're a fresh diploma holder and have the financial means, I would suggest that you pursue a degree, preferably majoring in HR first. If you do a quick browse of most HR jobs on the various job portals, having a degree is a prerequisite for most junior HR exec jobs, unless of course you do not mind applying for lower tier jobs like HR assistants or administrators that mostly require a diploma. So it's really up to you to weigh between these options.
