Map
Are there any differences in the HR MAP Programmes of Big MNCs, i.e Unilever, GSK, Shell, Deutsche Bank. By differences, I mean training, prestige, brand name, exposure etc?
Or are they all comparable, discounting industry differences.

I would like to start a career in HR. However, HR have many functions.
Is it ok for me to start off with being a Payroll specialist and then move towards HR talent & development (most of the Talent development jobs require at least 2 years of experience) ?
Am a fresh grad, looking for career path. TIA.

Payroll is pure admin job. It is better to join as a generalist doing operations to broaden your experience. T&D is considered specialist you will need luck and consistent performance over many years to transfer. 2 years time frame not realistic unless your academic and work credentials are really strong.

I have tried searching on job portals. Most of the general operation jobs require knowledge on MOM laws. Is it safe to say that, as a HR generalist, knowing how to do payroll is part of the job scope (Skills) ?
