How old is the friend who got promoted to 5A? What is his job scope like?

Max of geo5 and max of geo5a is only around $800 apart. They cannot let the increments be too high. If not will hit ceiling again in 2-3 years.

The first rule is to never say no to promotion.
You don't know when the next promotion will come. Also, saying no to promotion doesn't mean your workload won't increase.

It's all part of the plan...

I wonder how will ranking be for GEO 5A. My school only has one right now.

My guess is that it will be at cluster level similar to the SEOs.

im not so sure for this one...just like how there is differentiated workload between g4 and 5, it should be similar for 5 and 5a
compensation wise - g5 workload + c grade, or g5a workload + c- grade (+200 monthly)?
for an average performer, this might just end up being the same going either way?
but simple mathematical statistics will show us that ranking for 5a will be brutal, since the population size is so little and assuming the bell curve model is still used

Principals, some Master Teachers, Lead Specialists, DDs etc. are on Superscale grades, not on the SEO or GEO timescales.

Was wondering how long service award is calculated...
Me: AED scheme (6) + GEO scheme (4) = 10 years
Friend: AED scheme (6) + MX scheme (4) = 10 years
Friend received long service award last year for 10 years but I didn't. How so? TIA
