My feeling is the dedicated ones won't be able to commit very much towards tuition… on the plus side, they're more likely to receive recognition and (marginal) increase within the system.
Definitely possible for a person who knows how to manage effort/time spent in school… ideally because they're experienced enough to juggle it all, but realistically will include ppl who are doing the minimum there.

6k is almost the theoretical maximum for a first career, 5 YOE GEO3. It's hard to believe. You need to have everything: NSman, first class hons or master's degree, and A grade every single year. That would have put you around 5.45k before the salary revision, allowing you to cross 6k in Oct.
Realistically speaking, a decent performing 5 YOE GEO3 would be at around 5.7 to 5.9k now.

so the geo 3 ceiling is nearing with this 6k.
unless promotion is in sight, he/she might be stuck at the ceiling of 6.2k
the promotion rate is very slow for farmers right?

But if you reject the promotion you may hentak kaki for 3 or more years at the GEO3 ceiling before being considered for promotion again.
So no matter what, you still lose out.
Just in the wrong place at the wrong time, that's life...

Started BTship as GEO1 (dip Ed)
Currently GEO2. How long does a dip holder typically stay in GEO 2?
