The specialised scheme premium is cancelled out by the extra time it takes for most EOs to move up the EO grades. It's fine and dandy until you want to cross over to another scheme, then you suddenly find yourself a grade or two behind your peers.
The difference is not so pronounced when crossing over to MXO, because to be honest their promotions aren't as fast either. But when crossing over to other specialised schemes in other ministries/agencies, you could see gaping differences.

Doesn’t MX11A pay more than geo 5A?

MX11a is for officers with management responsibilities though. It is not a requirement for GEO5A officers to have any management responsibilities whatsoever (although I have a feeling most schools will allow some non-personnel related management work to creep into a 5A's portfolio).

I also heard that MHA has a similar scheme like the CONNECT plan?
Not sure if MINDEF also has it?

Seeking advice
I am almost nearing my 10 years of teaching.
Currently feel very much burned out by everything that happened this year.
I just find that school programmes are very tightly packed and there is no breathing space. Not sure if this is my school thing or across the nation?
Thinking of tendering my resignation end of this year.
I think I don’t fit well into the system although I spent a decade trying to do so.
What can one do beyond teacher?
Also what if I would like to switch to flexi-adjunct in another school? Will this option be viable if I resign this year?
I know we should not be a quitter but if I continued this way, I really feel like losing my hope to live. So I thought the alternative is to quit even though I am put my financial health at risk. T_T
