ur managers/seniors wont say u nid to OT.... they will say "we need to get this done by "Friday 9am", so unless u are a g0d who can finish in the normal working hours, u will need to OT lor. simple as that.

real working world nobody will explicitly tell u to OT one. is all part of the motion

Well said. And it’s also a matter where are you okay with spending hours OT overtime. It may affect some of our well-being. I know got people who fall sick and hospitalised after OT for many days/weeks/months.

So what happens if you are not okay?

If cannot finish, what happens?

If not okay, usually people quit and go for a better company with better work life balance and can see the sunset and enjoy life.

If cannot finish, managers will come and ask why the work is not done/ when will you get it done/ basically asking for status update everytime, making you more stressful.
Bare in mind that associate level has to handle a lot of work, don’t assume everything is to senior level.

Lol why will stress? Cannot finish then cannot finish, it’s just a job.

Affect mental health is too much, just mentally create barrier to separate work from life.

You can give me more work but doesn’t mean I can finish.

It’s a norm to face stress in big4. What a question. If cannot handle, just quit lol. Simple. Why stay if you want better work life balance.. If you cannot finish, too bad must finish. It’s not like exam, left undone answers. In reality, this is gonna be harsh so do take note if you are living in a student’s life environment and think it’s okay to left it there undone, waiting for people to do for you. That’s not the case unfortunately
