Advice to fresh grads, follow instructions and do not complain. Work harder during peak. Efforts and sacrifices made for big 4 will eventually pay off 10 years down the road

Old school thinking.
You need to realise instant gratification is more important than long term gains to the youth now. Stop selling the “grind now and enjoy later” idea cause it’s just not appealing anymore.
With social media, people want to enjoy their 20s, and also show their friends they’ve having fun - not OTing to 8pm at office during peak.
Stop talking about “sacrifices” and expect people to swallow unreasonable instructions - they are a lot more vocal now and dare to speak up, resist, and push back.
You should be the one to wake up your idea instead of asking the youth to be more mature.

Audits are a legally required exercise. It is an oligopoly of firms, with little competition. In its current form, it is rather useless (see Wirecard, Enron etc.). When and why did it happen that "audit partners" started to be paid like bankers or executives, given they 1) they do not really compete for business in a free market: the large mandates are split between four firms, 2) seem to be mostly financially illiterate, as in: they will spot a mistake in booking the GST for a lunch bill but will overlook that the entire business is a sham, 3) they aren't liable: these partnerships don't mean you're on the hook. In my opinion, we need to completely rethink the profession.

Stop wasting the youth time on this bullsht profession.
There are a lot more meaningful job out there now. Now is like 90% only jhk or those developing countries ppl are doing audit. Audit should go soon. No value, just old monkies selling "trust" for cash.

Ya true 0 value profession. Brings nth to the table except high fees for mandatory services. Trading on the trust of yesteryears
I really hope another Enron Arthur Andersen saga brings down 1 more Big 4 so that everyone can see how meaningless this industry is

Are you trying to add on more to the nonsensical number of useless questions we have to ask about internal controls and fraud risk factors already?
