What kind of tools has your firm been using, and what’s the effect of these tools? My firm has added a lot of new tools for us to use. However, they don’t really help alleviate the audit workload. they only create more burden. Some of the tools are designed for management to hit KPI, and some are duplicates already existing in the market.

The issue with offshoring is not quality, it's mostly the legal issues associated with it especially data protection (we can't store them overseas for certain industries) and taxation. AI quality is equally bad if I have to be honest, but at least we can handwave the issues. Smaller accounting firms without banking clients are raking in fat cash with offshoring by hiring quality auditors at JB at starting 5k pay.

Are you really too nice?
Then can I ask why you guys, after reaching a certain seniority and a position of power, didn’t do anything to try and change the system and culture?
Like increasing salaries for example.

Managers write appraisals right? Don’t you have control over their compensation?

I think only the performance appraisal, which is linked to the bonus, but the average band is huge so the majority will receive an average bonus of ard 1 month.

If senior management cannot even affect entry level salary, then it sounds like title inflation to me like those company where fresh graduate also can be assistant director.
You are not really a manager.
