I keep having to repeat. You guys have been slacking for 3 out of 4 quarters during off peak. Now peak period u complain?
Dont weak lah auditors. just ot and get it done. now so easy. with not much people quitting.
Big 4 attrition rate dropped to a new low of 25% only, almost half of usual so why all the cries about understaffing? Man up you wimps, understaffed my foot

pls you guys are slacking even during peak. we made our job candidates do comprehensive case studies for our interview which would take up a full day or two and somehow all these seniors and managers currently working in big 4 audit was able to submit extremely well researched and properly done ones. only one guy declined to do the case study due to time issues so i guess that one guy is the only one tanking everything while you all are slacking off.

That explains why my associates have only completed 40 samples in 1 whole day and so many had missing portions. Guess they're busy interviewing during working hours. Looks like I have to make it 100% WFO now.

It seems like some industries have this situation?
- Boomers and old Gen X promoting fast in the past and now occupying higher positions
- Boomers and old Gen X cannot promote any higher, refuse to resign or budge and choose to coast in their current position
- Work gets thrown down to new hires to fulfill KPI of higher positions
- Starting salary and progressive increments not keeping up with inflation
- Promotion of new hires getting delayed and slowed down
- Waves of resignations occurring only at the lower positions (those with 10 YOE or less) while the higher positions keep remaining the same
- Fewer and fewer headcount at the lower positions (to save labour cost), causing overwork for the remaining youngsters and a continuous death spiral of resignations

Partners in their 60s and 70s are still working
I think some of them are just maintaining their PA licence and signing report only
