I know quite a few grads from sim or aussie u who are in local bank map. Companies dont care about your degree as long as you can perform.

You can't be more wrong. Banks and most top mncs are super elitist when it comes to hiring.

This just show you out of touch. You must be a civil servant think scholar is everything. Truth is private sector don’t care how book smart are you and big mncs will hire anyone which is good irregardless of which uni.

yes. hahaha. the stupid elitist mindset. really shows how ignorant they are in today's world. The study hard and get rich mentality dosent work anymore. It just makes you a good employee.

Can provide links to the linkedin profiles of these SIM grads? I'm seriously intrigued, and very interested to check them out.

*Don't say that it is not nice to link us to their linkedin profiles. If the profiles are viewable by the public, I am absolutely they have no qualms with their profiles getting viewed.

**And since you said SIM grads take up ~20% of all banking MAP hires, I would think that is actually quite a substantial number. So I reckon you wouldnt have any problems locating the profiles of a few of them, at least.

Thanks!

Erm the biggest local bank has 0 SIM grads in their MAP or non sales GAP. Not this year nor last year nor many years before. So the 20% is definitely coming from other banks
