4 months PB maybe it's unheard of, but in order to compare with private sector, which doesn't even give 13th month bonus, we should compare total bonuses.
i'm sure 4-5 months of total bonuses in poly is pretty common, right?
by "total bonuses", i include everything - 13th month bonus, mid-year bonus, year end bonus, special bonus, extraordinary one-time bonus, election-year bonus, etc.

I applied for a non-teaching position (admin officer) at one of the polys and went for 2 interviews. The 2nd interview was 2 Thursdays ago and HR ttold me that they would get back to me by a week. I called HR last week but they said my application was still pending approval. Yesterday they posted the position again on their website which prompted me to call HR again. HR told me that my application was still pending approval and that the interview report was still with mgmt, whatever that means. I also told HR that the position was posted again yesterday; but they were not aware of this.
Does this mean I was unsuccessful or is my application really still pending? If it is why did they post the position again on the website? For those who know roughly which poly I am talking about, does HR post the positions on their website or do the individual schools do it?

Only the PCEO and DP gets >4 mths.
D, DD, AD, CM default 4mths if no major screw up.

PCEO typically clocks >$400k per annum. On par with CEO of stat boards. After all Polys are stat board too.

are you referring to PB? if including 13th month and the usual civil / public sector bonuses, and one-off "GDP" bonuses, will it hit 6 months on average?

Yes, pb. Typical manager and above take home atleast 18mths per annum. It seems alot to commoners in the street but bear in mind that a manager in poly is like a DD at outside. This also pale in comparison to equivalent professionals in the pte sector where annual package of 200k above is pretty common.

15k gross not many qualify. Is either a very very lao jiao DD or director of schools or department. Nothing to envy, the responsibility scope at that level in pte sector would draw more than double that salary.
