When you see the circular, you will question why you work so hard to get a good performance rating because the difference between an A grade and a B grade is <0.5% and the difference between an A* and a B grade is around 1%. So someone who had a high Base salary but average performance will usually end up getting a higher increment than you even if you get A*.

Why is this chat so dead when there are so many healthcare staff? Is everyone too busy, or not bothered, or dont have info to share due to eg. lack of transparency regarding compensation info in the hospitals?

What is there to share. Increment every year sucks. The adjustment is up to 7%, meaning most people prob get a 5% in total including your increment. Btw last adjustment, the cluster I’m in presents it as 1 amount with yearly increment to make it seem bigger. Monthly pay is sucky as HR tends to lowball newcomers. Transferring between cluster - same pay. Promotion between JG - maybe u get a $300 increase in salary but there comes a point where the minimal increase in pay does not justify the huge increase in responsibility and workload.

The hard truth is that the compensation schemes are similar between the 2 major healthcare group s a.
The same goes for bonuses and only private sector is slightly different.
