Rubbish, that only happens when you get paid nicely, hence the nice pay. When you get crappy pay, wheres your honor?

10 hrs or 10 days?

Like i said, when ur basic is low, u need to whack ot then can see the money...
If u r 30++ like me and always find no time for children and wife, u tend to think LAE is really the job to go

u think aircraft maintenance big money right?? Haha, damnn wrong... pay increment so far the best is 2-5% only...

Seriously, those have high hope on this job, better think twice....once u stuck right here, there's no way out...especially when u r in the mid 30s

I'm pretty sure he meant 10hours la.. Imagine coming back on your off day or rest day.. its already 8hrs OT.. Plus OT again after the normal shift hours.. You'll hit 12hrs max! Been there and done that..

But again see what you comparing, (cat b LAE) > diploma(normal)

cat c LAE vs degree 1st class ok la got fight

cat c LAE type R much more pay than Msc

For the lowest academic qualifications LAE still gets the higher pay
Cat C LAE pay not high lah, they are AO grade ie just sign off base maint release.....
Cat B1/B2 LAE at blah blah blah line vs PHD got fight..... Can fight with manager grade

Cat C LAE is SFM, OM or AFM level ie no OT.... Some LAEs cat B1/B2 with multiple coverages working in ops line or base can earn more but I don think can fight with PHD.....unless OT is to the sky

Those with degrees and masters joining the apprentice schemes will be groomed as cat C holders or mid management levels.Overall still quite a good deal considering the economy is heading towards a recession and most of the industries are stagnating unless going for govt jobs. Anyone from ST Aerospace or SASCO or SIAEC to comment which is the better company to work in terms of pay and benefits
