Govtech is "quite new" (though it has some baggage from IDA), there should be less chance of massive disparity (e.g. of such massive disparity is in another quasi-agency, engineers who entered in 2015 earn lesser than fresh grad of 2019, in which pple who entered in 2010 earn lesser than those who entered in 2015, etc), so they can probably can afford to do across the board, and then skill-based adjustments

Then there's those on the other spectrum that do not even know the fundamental concepts of the product they are building. Like dude...it's ok to not know at the beginning, but still being clueless after 3 months in...

Agree. Some juniors are very good. Others hit or miss.

yea all freshies should be unpaid till they prove themselves. I personally worked for GT for 69 years and get this, they still pay me 6.9k. Think it's supposed to be funny.

If you really wanted to serve your country and do tech for public good, you'd be willing to join even if they paid $1.8k per month. Don't be so materialistic and evaluate your contributions (and compensation) purely in dollars and cents.

yea exactly. In fact, I think it should be treated as a charity project/work. I dont think GovTechies should get paid at all, doesn't getting paid to do charity just sound immoral? In fact I think GovTechies should donate to GovTech whenever possible to maintain enough resources to do tech for public good.
